They assemble high-quality content based on specific product requirements for programs and understanding the solution design. They collaborate with the Academic Design team as well as Product Managers to help develop the solution design (both conceptualization and implementation). </span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><strong>This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Planning and developing content for literacy assessment materials, delivered both in digital and print formats</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Assisting in the development of prototypes, exemplars, guidelines, project proposals, and project scope documentation, as needed</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Working in digital platform to author content and tag metadata.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Acting as point of contact between vendors, internal engineering teams, and Academic Design teams </span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Demonstrating a strong understanding of elementary (Grades K-6) Reading/Language Arts and English Language Development pedagogical issues and their relationship to assessment and measurement</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Producing accurate, error-free, high-quality products that assess program goals, align with curriculum standards, measure student growth, and recommend instructional options</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Providing feedback to the work of colleagues and vendors</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Problem solving - identifying risks related to an assignment and ensuring they are solved, including suggestions to improve processes</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in elementary education, literacy, linguistics, or related field</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">2+ years of experience in literacy curriculum development and educational publishing, preferably with a focus on assessment</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Ability to create and visualize assessment content for print and digital delivery</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Highly organized, goal-oriented, and collaborative</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Knowledge of appropriate industry and subject-area content development practices, content standards (such as CCSS, B.E.S.T., and TEKS), and testing and reporting trends</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Displays and acts with initiative, integrity, and professionalism</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which include a thorough command of the English language, spelling, writing, and grammar and a strong attention to detail</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Effective organizational and time management skills; productive, efficient work habits and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and exhibit flexibility</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Understands digital learning, including authoring systems, accessibility, and testing</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Diverse computer skills, expert-level in MS Office suite, proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Smartsheet and K4/InCopy markup</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Teaching experience preferred</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;">Experience building accessible content in digital authoring systems is preferred</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
