<h2>Job Description</h2><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Position Title:</strong> School-Based Life Skills Specialist (BHT)<br /><strong>Position Type:</strong> Full-Time<br /><strong>Location:</strong> Zarephath</p><hr /><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong><br />The School-Based Life Skills Specialist (School Success Specialist) provides life skills training, behavioral support, and counseling to school-aged clients under the supervision of the Clinical Director. Responsibilities include clinical documentation, treatment planning, and collaboration with families, schools, and care teams.</p><p><em>Clinical supervision toward independent licensure is available.</em></p><hr /><p><strong>Work Schedule:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Monday through Friday; hours vary by school and client schedules</p></li><li><p>Must be available during school breaks and summer programming</p></li></ul><hr /><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Indoor and outdoor work environments</p></li><li><p>Frequent movement, including climbing stairs</p></li><li><p>Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodations)</p></li><li><p>Must be able to transport clients using a personal vehicle</p></li></ul><hr /><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide weekly life skills and counseling services to assigned clients</p></li><li><p>Meet weekly encounter/unit goals</p></li><li><p>Develop and update individualized treatment plans</p></li><li><p>Monitor and report on client progress and intervention effectiveness</p></li><li><p>Facilitate age-appropriate therapeutic, recreational, and social skill activities</p></li><li><p>Maintain organized client files and documentation</p></li><li><p>Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and provider/parent meetings</p></li><li><p>Ensure confidentiality and positive engagement with clients and families</p></li><li><p>Represent Zarephath professionally in all community and client interactions</p></li><li><p>Perform other related duties as assigned</p></li></ul><hr /><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related behavioral health field</p><ul><li><p>OR Bachelor’s degree in a similar field with at least 5 years of experience in a behavioral health setting with children</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Licensed or associate licensed (preferred)</p></li><li><p>Background in CBT and trauma-focused CBT (preferred)</p></li><li><p>Experience working with children and families on issues such as PTSD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, DV, and substance use</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with the Arizona Behavioral Health system and stakeholders (DDD, CPS, Juvenile Probation)</p></li><li><p>Minimum 1 year of experience in counseling, assessments, and treatment planning</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Arizona’s 12 Principles</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills</p></li><li><p>CPR and First Aid certified</p></li><li><p>Must be 21 years of age or older</p></li><li><p>Possess a valid state driver's license</p></li><li><p>Must obtain or possess a Fingerprint Clearance Card</p></li><li><p>Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills</p></li></ul><hr /><p><strong>Compensation:</strong><br /><strong>Initial Salary (First 60 Days):</strong> $42,000 – $47,000<br /><strong>After Probation:</strong> Base Salary + Pay-Per-Unit = $42,000 – $47,000</p><p><strong>Unit-Based Pay Breakdown:</strong></p>Weekly UnitsAdditional Pay per Unit0–50Base Pay Only51–100+ $7.50 per unit101–125+ $7.75 per unit126–150+ $8.00 per unit151++ $8.50 per unit<p><em>Note: 1 unit = 15 minutes of client service or care coordination.<br />100 units = 25 hours of face-to-face service per week.</em></p><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>AOc5C4cj05</p></div></div>
