Customer Service Representative - FT

## Key Role Overview This is an outdoor, customer-facing full-time role on airport rental lots assisting customers through various parts of the rental and return process. Duties include checking vehicles, processing rentals (including loyalty customers), entering information using handheld devices, assisting at exit gates, and providing high-quality customer service. The role requires flexibility to work all shifts, the ability to drive a variety of vehicles, and immediate hiring with possible commission and shift premium opportunities. ## What are the Key Responsibilities? - Assist customers in different parts of the rental or return process on airport lots, including checking cars and processing rentals. - Enter information into handheld devices and perform data entry tasks related to rentals and returns. - Assist customers at exit gates and check in returned vehicles. - Drive and move vehicles as needed, enter and exit vehicles for prolonged periods, and perform physical tasks across the rental lot. - Provide excellent customer service to all customers, including loyalty program members. ## What are the Required Qualifications? - Valid Driver's License. - Basic computer skills (typing and data entry). - Effective verbal communication skills. - Willingness to work outdoors and flexibility to work all shifts. - Ability to type, sit, stand, walk, move throughout a rental lot, enter/exit vehicles for prolonged periods, and drive a variety of vehicles. - Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States. - This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely. ## What are the Preferred Qualifications? - Six months of retail customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is a bonus. ## Compensation & Benefits - $16.50 per hour (base pay). - Monthly commission opportunity; shift premium may apply. - Bi-weekly hourly wage (New York and Puerto Rico: weekly wage). - On-the-job training. - Paid time off. - Medical, dental, and other insurance options. - Flexible spending account opportunity to contribute up to $270 as a tax-free benefit for public transportation or parking expenses. - Retirement benefits (401k). - Employee discounts, including discounted car rental and discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars. ## Additional Information - Location: White Plains, New York (240 Airport Rd). - Full-time position with immediate hiring; may be with any affiliate of Avis Budget Group. - Role is primarily outdoors on airport lots and requires driving and physical activity. - Avis Budget Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer; qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to protected characteristics. - The compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the posting date and may be modified by the Company.
