This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and business vision to prioritize investments, business value, and delivery outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary expert on business requirements, engaging with business subject matter specialists.Partner with business and enterprise stakeholders to understand, validate, and translate business strategy, vision, and customer needs into actionable requirements.Identify, engage, and influence business stakeholders and SMEs throughout the project lifecycle.Facilitate, define, and document relevant business processes, gaining a strong understanding of needs, metrics, risks, and controls.Delivery & ExecutionAct as the day‑to‑day decision-maker for the execution team, providing continuous guidance and maintaining alignment with executive and sponsor strategies.Prioritize the team’s work across new features, defects, and enhancements, making decisions on creation, resolution, or deferral as needed.Review and accept—or decline—development outputs based on defined acceptance criteria.Lead and collaborate with cross‑functional teams including UX partners, designers, analysts, developers, and testers to deliver in alignment with program or product roadmaps.Methodology & ControlsWork within multiple development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.Lead or orchestrate the completion and documentation of business requirements, ensuring compliance with enterprise controls and validating business metrics.Assist in project‑level planning related to scope, schedule, and resources.Risk & Issue ManagementWork closely with business and IT teams to identify, mitigate, and escalate risks, including operational business risks.Recommend appropriate solutions to address issues and ensure successful delivery.Technology & Domain ExpertiseCollaborate across different technologies, including infrastructure, mobile, customer‑facing systems, vendor platforms, and software solutions.Serve as a subject matter resource within a specific business or systems domain when required.Change Management & Benefits TrackingPrepare the business for change by equipping teams with tactics, metrics, and strategies to manage benefits, adoption, and operational risks.Partner with process owners to develop metrics that measure progress, value, and adoption.Leadership & CoachingCoach and support less‑experienced Digital Product Owners and team members as needed.Must Haves: Clarity, Rally, JiraBusiness Architecture/ Human Centered Design background familiarity Experience as a Product Owner Must have a background in SCALED AGILE (Kaizen, SAFE, LESS)Experience with any of the following:Account management (checking, savings, CDs)Transaction processing (deposits, withdrawals, transfers)Loan managementCustomer relationship management (CRM)General ledger and financial reportingRegulatory compliance EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
