EDI/Helpdesk Specialist

About the position

As an EDI Tier 1 Specialist at Gainwell, you will play a crucial role in assisting with EDI/Helpdesk calls, providing technical support to users, and ensuring smooth electronic transactions for healthcare providers. This full-time position emphasizes the importance of communication, customer service, and operational discipline in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with answering EDI/Helpdesk calls on a regular basis.
  • Work on Password/Pin resets and EDI emails as required.
  • Provide technical assistance to users experiencing transmission difficulties.
  • Assist providers, trading partners, and billing agents with electronic 5010 X12 HIPAA batches and real-time transactions.
  • Enroll users for transaction submissions and verify receipt of electronic transmissions.
  • Assist EDI technical staff with Beta testing for system changes as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with direct interaction with Florida Medicaid Providers via email and phone.
  • Ability to process reports for EDI and provide excellent customer service on calls.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a positive attitude while working independently.
  • Operational discipline and conflict resolution skills.
  • Professionalism and ability to remain calm under pressure.
