<p> </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Based in Belgium/Europe | <strong>Hours:</strong> Approx. 10-20 hours/month | <strong>Language Focus:</strong> Dutch (Belgian)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Fanatee is seeking a detail-oriented and culturally fluent Regional Editor to refine and validate content for the Belgian Dutch–speaking market. This is a remote, part-time freelance role. We are specifically looking for candidates based in Belgium or Europe, with a strong understanding of local language usage, cultural references, and regional nuances as used by Dutch-speaking players in Belgium.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>- Review and validate in-game content, ensuring it reflects Belgian local cultural nuances.</p> <p>- Curate culturally relevant references, sayings, and themes for localized features.</p> <p>- Provide feedback and editorial insights to improve the player experience.</p> <p>- Collaborate with the content team to define and maintain editorial standards for Belgian.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <p>- We prefer to hire someone who currently lives in Belgium (or elsewhere in Europe) and is fully immersed in local Belgian culture, trends, and idioms.</p> <p>- Fluency in Dutch (Belgian variant) and conversational English proficiency are required.</p> <p>- Strong command of Belgian Dutch grammar, spelling, and usage.</p> <p>- Deep familiarity with Belgian Dutch expressions, slang, media, and pop culture.</p> <p>- Degree in Communications, Linguistics, Dutch Language, Writing, or a related field is preferred.</p> <p>- Prior experience in content editing, localization, or game content is a plus.</p> <p>- Passion for word games, language, and cultural storytelling.</p> <p>- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.</p> <p> </p> <p></p> <p></p><p><br></p><p></p> <div>$22 - $27 an hour</div><small><div>Final hourly fee will be based on level of experience.</div></small> <p> </p><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p> <p>At Fanatee, we love what we do — building games that connect and entertain millions.
