Engineering Intern

This position provides assistance to the Engineering Manager for special projects as assigned. The projects may include, but are not limited to, research, construction inspection, construction documentation, and GIS Data Collection.• Assist the Engineering Manager with special projects as assigned.<br>• Assist Engineering Technician with Construction Site inspections, documentation and quantity verification.<br>• Perform basic surveying and elevation verification tasks.<br>• Assist the GIS Technician with GPS Data Collection and other duties as assigned.<br>• Assist the Water Quality Technician with Stormwater inspections and other duties as assigned.<br>• Observe all safety rules and practice safe work habits.<br><br>TO DO THIS JOB YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS BEFORE BEING HIRED:<br>Valid Minnesota Class D Driver’s License.High School diploma. Interns must be pursuing a two-year or four-year degree at an accredited college in a related field to the internship. Training in computers required. Any combination of education and/or experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.<br><br><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br>Fluency in English and Spanish, including reading, speaking, listening and writing.Hours per shift vary. Flexible scheduling includes morning, afternoon, and evening, Monday through Friday.
