We are a Calgary-based residential builder delivering both fully custom homes and high-quality homes within master-planned communities. Regardless of the project type, our standard is the same: strong design, solid construction, and tight control of the details. As our workload continues to grow, we’re looking for a Full-Time Estimator who understands residential construction and takes accuracy seriously.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a range of residential projects, from one-off custom homes to repeat plans in master-planned communities. You’ll work closely with project management and leadership to ensure pricing aligns with project scope, company standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for custom homes and community-based residential projects
  • Complete full take-offs for materials, labour, and equipment
  • Maintain and update pricing for standard plans and selections used in master-planned communities
  • Research and validate current market pricing and trade costs
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities while maintaining design intent and quality
  • Collaborate with project management to develop and manage project budgets
  • Clearly explain estimates and cost impacts internally and to clients when required
  • Track costs, identify variances, and flag risks early

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education in construction management or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in residential construction
  • Experience with both custom homes and production or community-based housing is an asset
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Proficiency in estimating software; Buildertrend experience is a strong asset
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once
