Grassroots Manager

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive local and state grassroots strategies and advocacy campaigns
  • Organize volunteers to complete federal activities in collaboration with national team
  • Write and disseminate e-mails to volunteers, legislative alerts, issue talking points, and training curriculum
  • Plan and manage lobby days or similar events, including virtual
  • Serve as the staff manager of the volunteer structure
  • Attract, train, and develop volunteers
  • Drive volunteer fundraising

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • three to five years of relevant work experience
  • Political issue or campaign organizing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience attracting, developing, and engaging volunteers preferred
  • Fundraising experience a plus
  • Experience using Salesforce, Every Action, or similar tools a plus
  • Experience or familiarity with fundamentals of Direct-Action Organizing a plus
