Grassroots Manager
Job Description:
- Develop and implement comprehensive local and state grassroots strategies and advocacy campaigns
- Organize volunteers to complete federal activities in collaboration with national team
- Write and disseminate e-mails to volunteers, legislative alerts, issue talking points, and training curriculum
- Plan and manage lobby days or similar events, including virtual
- Serve as the staff manager of the volunteer structure
- Attract, train, and develop volunteers
- Drive volunteer fundraising
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- three to five years of relevant work experience
- Political issue or campaign organizing experience strongly preferred
- Experience attracting, developing, and engaging volunteers preferred
- Fundraising experience a plus
- Experience using Salesforce, Every Action, or similar tools a plus
- Experience or familiarity with fundamentals of Direct-Action Organizing a plus
