We're a lean team in a zero-to-one phase, which means you won't just be designing systems and delegating. You'll be rolling up your sleeves and executing across accounting, treasury, compliance, and financial operations yourself. You'll inherit a small finance team, but the expectation is that you're hands-on, not hands-off.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">You'll report to the COO and work closely across the business on everything from day-to-day financial operations through to capital strategy and investor reporting.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Finance at Dicey is not a support function, it's core to how the product operates. You'll be responsible for how money moves through a real-time gaming system, how risk is managed, and how performance is understood at scale across fiat, crypto, and our own token ($ME).</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What You'll Own</h2><h3>Team & Operations Leadership</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead a small existing finance team, setting priorities, ownership, and standards</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a working leadership role, you'll be directly executing alongside the team, not just overseeing</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build out processes and systems that allow the function to scale without adding headcount unnecessarily</p></li></ul><h3>Accounting & Controllership</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own the full accounting function: month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and audit readiness</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage accounts payable and payroll operations</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own tax compliance across all operating jurisdictions, corporate tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, and transfer pricing for multi-entity structures</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead crypto and digital asset accounting, including transaction-level reporting, wallet reconciliation, and classification across fiat and on-chain activity</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own $ME token reporting, accounting treatment, valuation requirements, and financial disclosures in line with applicable standards</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage equity and token administration, including the cap table, option pool, token grant ledgers, and associated reporting</p></li></ul><h3>Compliance & Regulatory</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own AML/CTF compliance obligations and KYC processes across all operating jurisdictions</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage relationships with regulators, external auditors, and legal counsel</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Maintain and improve internal financial controls and governance frameworks</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ensure compliance is kept current as the business enters new markets and product areas</p></li></ul><h3>Treasury & Financial Operations</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and operate treasury and fund flows across fiat and crypto</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage liquidity, exposure, and risk, including variance, concentration, and counterparty risk</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own financial operations end-to-end: revenue tracking, promo spend, affiliate and KOL payouts, and reconciliation across wallets and platforms</p></li></ul><h3>Strategic Finance</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own the P&L, including forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysis</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Drive unit economics and performance insights, CAC, LTV, cohort analysis, VIP dynamics</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support capital allocation decisions and cost management</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assist with investor relations, fundraising preparation, and board reporting</p></li></ul><h3>Financial Infrastructure & Systems</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build and maintain systems for real-time financial visibility and reporting</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage multi-entity structures including intercompany flows and service agreements</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own the equity cap table and token pool administration</p></li></ul><h2>What You Bring</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">8–12+ years across finance, accounting, or financial operations, with experience operating in a hands-on capacity</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven ability to own accounting end-to-end, not just strategic finance, but the operational execution underneath it</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Direct experience with crypto and digital asset accounting, including on-chain transaction reporting and token-related financial treatment</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong working knowledge of AML/CTF compliance obligations and regulated financial environments</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Background in gaming, betting, trading, exchanges, payments, or a similarly high-velocity environment</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience managing treasury, liquidity, or fund flows across fiat and crypto</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with multi-entity structures, transfer pricing, and cross-border compliance</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfortable working in a lean environment where you are both the strategist and the person doing the work</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">High ownership, strong judgment, and the ability to operate without a lot of structure around The person who comes in, builds the financial infrastructure, and helps Dicey scale is the natural candidate to grow into a CFO position as the company matures.
