Job Description
CGI is seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team in Sherbrooke, Quebec. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned HR professional looking to make a significant impact within a global IT consulting firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits. We are specifically looking for candidates who require visa sponsorship and are eager to contribute their expertise to our diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all human resources operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and Canadian labor laws.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the overall business strategy.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, from sourcing to onboarding, with a focus on attracting diverse talent.
- Manage employee relations, addressing grievances and conducting investigations as necessary.
- Administer performance management programs, including annual reviews and goal setting.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for employees.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial employment regulations and policies.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary benchmarking and benefits administration.
- Provide guidance and support to management on HR-related issues.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to foster a positive work environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources management.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices, particularly Quebec labor standards.
- Proven experience with end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience managing visa sponsorship processes and supporting international hires.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or CHRP/CRHA certification.
- Experience working in a global or multinational organization.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is highly preferred due to the location in Quebec.
- Experience in the IT services or consulting industry.
