Summary of Position: Help facilitate overall strategies for product management on the sales floor including keeping items in stock, managing inventory counts and product promotions. Create initiatives to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of getting products out to the sales floor. Provide guidance to staff regarding tasks and procedures related to the sales floor. Participate in store operations as necessary to cover for upper management when needed.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities at a Glance:
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service & Streamline Customer Experience
- Oversee Night Crew Operations
- Manage the flow of freight on truck days
- Direct and help employees with daily tasks
- Management of overstock product
- Organize and facilitate backroom / trailer / upstairs stock
- Creating & Receiving of Purchase Orders
- Participate in product merchandising and new product offerings
- Management of monthly sales. Including but not limited to:“Instant Savings” (Yellow Tags), End-cap sales
- Collaboration with Store Manager and Assistant Manager on Inventory Management and monthly Mango Count Sheets (as needed)
- Projects that optimize store operation & it’s function
- Perform price changes
- Processing of Returns at end of day
- Opening and Closing Procedures when other Management is out
Other Essential Requirements
Education/Training
High School or GED equivalent required; degree preferred.
Experience
Must have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs).
