IOS Tester

Job Title: IOS Tester
Location: Remote


Responsibilities:

  • Testing: Executing test cases on different iOS devices and simulators, identifying and reporting bugs using bug tracking software.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with developers, QA analysts, and other team members to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Documentation: Creating detailed bug reports, test plans, and test cases.
  • Test Automation: May participate in or lead the development and execution of automated tests using tools like Appium or Selenium.
  • Performance Testing: Ensuring the application performs well under different conditions and on various devices.
  • Usability Testing: Evaluating the user interface and user experience to ensure ease of use.
  • Regression Testing: Verifying that new features or bug fixes don't introduce new issues.
  • Release Management: Contributing to the release process by ensuring the application is thoroughly tested before deployment.
  • Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies, testing tools, and best practices
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Manual and Automated Testing: Experience with both manual testing and test automation frameworks like Appium or Selenium is often required.
  • Bug Tracking: Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira or TestRail.
  • iOS Development: Understanding of the iOS platform and development processes. Knowledge of Swift or Objective-C is sometimes preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and diagnose issues, and propose solutions.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with the team.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to testing and documentation.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret test results and identify areas for improvement.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a larger team
