Full Job Description Company: Nunatsiavut Government Department: Finance, Human Resources & Information Technology Position: Janitor Term: Casual Community: Hopedale, NL Closing Date: March 03, 2026 Responsibilities <ul><li>Sweep, mop and vacuum floors in offices, hallway, lobbies and common areas</li><li>Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, windowsills and shelves</li><li>Empty trash cans and replace bag</li><li>Clean and sanitize sinks and toilets</li><li>Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels</li><li>Wipe down countertops, tables and appliances</li><li>Clean windows, blinds and light fixtures as requires</li><li>Shampoo carpets as scheduled</li><li>Maintain janitorial supplies and restock when needed</li><li>Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including handling cleaning chemicals properly</li><li>Provide addition cleaning support for events and accommodation units</li><li>Training as required</li><li>Others duties as required </li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>High school diploma</li><li>1 year of experience</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25lbs</li><li>Comfortable standing, walking, bending and lifting for extended periods</li><li>Attention to detail and time management skills</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimum supervision </li></ul>Assets <ul><li>Bilingual in Inuktitut and English. </li></ul>Benefits <ul><li>4% vacation pay. </li></ul>Department: Finance, Human Resources, & Information Technology Location: Hopedale, NL Term: Casual Closing Date: March 3, 2026 How To Apply Please submit your resume to careers@nunatsiavut.com.
