Launch Operator

<p><strong>ROLE</strong></p><p><span>As a launch operator, your primary role will be to operate the launch, transporting HPYC members from the pier to their boats on moorings and back. This role is highly member-facing and plays a key part in delivering a positive club experience while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized club.  Additional responsibilities include</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><span>1) assisting HPYC members and staff with boats and gear on the pier and beach</span></p><p><span>2) providing light maintenance on pier and yacht club</span></p><p><span>3) keeping pier, yacht club and beach clean</span></p><p><span>4) opening up and closing yacht club and pier office</span></p><p><span>5) reporting equipment and club maintenance issues to Pier Manager</span></p><p><span>6) bringing launch to pier from mooring  at beginning of day and returning to mooring at end of day</span></p><p><span>7) fueling boat at Hyannis Marina </span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><span>1. Valid USCG Launch Tender Operators license; employer will reimburse approved training and licensing costs </span></p><p><span>2. Authorized to work in the US </span></p><p><span>3. Must be 18 years old</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>Must be pleasant, respectful and helpful. Competent swimmer.  Familiar with rowing a dinghy,  securing boats – cleat, bowline, clove hitch, half hitch, square knot. Take direction, complete tasks with pride. </span></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
