Learning Data & Insights Specialist

The Learning Data and Insights Specialist serves as a data expert with a talent for finding effective ways of showing business impact on learning efforts. With a focus on integrating GM systems, this role will look to support the greater learning team with consultative expertise and problem-solving capabilities. This role will report to the Head of Learning Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data from various learning platforms and systems.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to learning and development.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to inform decision-making.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to improve learning programs.
  • Collaborate with adjacent GM analytics teams and organizations to understand data needs and deliver insights.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through data analysis and feedback.
  • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and other methods to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Use data to measure the impact of training on employee performance and business outcomes.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in learning analytics.
  • Implement new tools and technologies to enhance data collection and analysis processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of data-driven learning strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7+ years of proven experience in data analysis, in a learning and development context connecting data to learning outcomes.
  • Strong level of proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, LMS, or similar.
  • Ability to ingest complex requirements and recommend industry standard solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage parallel responsibilities of multiple stakeholders and deliver in a timely manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in a related field (Learning & Development, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXPs), and other third-party learning delivery platforms.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
