Part Time Bookkeeper
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part Time Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and updating books for our clients. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic business environment, ensuring all financial activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with relevant standards. The ideal applicant will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in Xero accounting software, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks of clients, including data entry and transaction recording
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Maintain organised financial records using recognised accounting software such as Xero, and some Sage.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as required
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Skills
- Proven experience with Xero
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
