Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
  • Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and efficiently

Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
  • Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and giving correct change
  • Ability to prepare simple food items and beverages accurately
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
  • Friendly demeanour with good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
