Personal Assistant/Carer
Job Overview
We are looking for someone who has a patient, motherly approach to looking after 2 quiet ladies in their home in Chesterfield. The shifts will involve lone working and sleep ins, but both ladies sleep through the night.
Duties would include cooking meals, cleaning the house, personal care, organising indoor/outdoor activities, medication administration and driving the ladies to their appointments and social activities.
The ladies enjoy crafts, music, feeding the ducks, shopping and going out for a coffee/drink.
The following shifts are available, we are happy to take on 2 PA's to cover the hours if the successful applicant wishes to do only some of the available hours.
Rates of pay are £13 per hour on payroll / £15 self employed
Sleeps are flat rate £98 on payroll / £110 self employed
Week 1
Saturday 12 noon - 5pm / 5pm - 11pm +sleep
Sunday 8am - 10am / 10am - 5pm
Week 2
Thursday 5pm - 11pm + sleep in
Friday 8am - 10am / 10am - 5pm / 5pm - 11pm + sleep in
Saturday 8am - 10am / 10am - 3pm
Skills
- Proven experience in care or home care environments
- Strong caregiving skills
- Excellent driving skills with a valid licence for client transportation purposes
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual health requirements
- Good organisational skills for managing daily routines
- First aid certification is highly desirable
- Reliable, patient-focused, with excellent communication skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 28 per week
