Produce Selector

The produce selector is responsible for selecting the correct merchandise and moving it to the appropriate area to be shipped out of the warehouse and subsequently sent to customers.

Responsabilities

1. Deliver items following written request procedures and in accordance with agreed procedures.
2. Properly follow food safety procedures.
3. Pack products to prepare them for shipment.
4. Label boxes or containers and organize product containers for delivery.
5. Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and rules.
6. Use pick hooks, wheel hooks, and box cutters to retrieve products or maneuver trays.
7. Operate motorized industrial machines (electric pallet jack and forklift) to move through the warehouse and position products for picking.
8. Apply knowledge of product locations to efficiently gather all orders for route or load.
9. Keep the area clean and organized, free of accidents.
10. Know all fire, safety, and emergency procedures.

11. Inspect products to ensure quality, including packaging integrity and visible signs of damage.
12. Report any discrepancies to your supervisor.
13. Maintain the highest level of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
14. Be available to work overtime if requested.
15. Perform other miscellaneous warehouse tasks as needed and assigned.
