Employment Terms & Visa Policy This is a 100% remote, full-time, direct W2 position with Bright Vision Technologies. This role is part of Bright Vision Technologies’ in-house Statement of Work (SOW) engagement. The client, end customer, and employer for this position is Bright Vision Technologies — there is no third-party client, vendor, or implementation partner involved. We do not engage in C2C, 1099, or third-party arrangements for this role. BUT STRICTLY NO C2C/1099/3RD PARTY COMPANIES. ALL OUR ROLES ARE W2 AND NO 3RD PARTY BROKERING PLEASE. Candidates must be willing to work directly as a full-time W2 employee of Bright Vision Technologies and contribute to our in-house SOW deliverables. No new H1B sponsorship is available for this role. However, candidates who are currently on a valid H1B visa and require a transfer are welcome to apply. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise web, API, and distributed systems. In this role you will be a key contributor to engineering quality, partnering with development teams to expand test coverage, embed automation into CI/CD pipelines, and accelerate confident software delivery. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks with a clear understanding of testing strategy, including risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and continuous testing in Agile environments. Key Responsibilities<ul style="margin-bottom:4px;"><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Write robust, maintainable automated test scripts that exercise critical business flows and edge cases.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Develop API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent frameworks.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Create and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) so that tests run reliably on every change.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing with attention to compatibility and performance.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Conduct database validation using SQL queries to verify data integrity end-to-end.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Collaborate closely with developers to improve testability, identify defects early, and shift quality left.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Support performance testing initiatives using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Maintain detailed test documentation, traceability, and defect tracking records, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standards.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Perform root-cause analysis on production issues to drive lasting quality improvements.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Ensure automation strategy aligns with DevOps and release management processes.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and quality-focused retrospectives, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standards.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Continuously improve QA processes, frameworks, and engineering practices, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standards.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul style="margin-bottom:4px;"><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Four or more years of QA automation experience.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Hands-on experience automating REST APIs.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Solid SQL skills for data validation.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Excellent communication and documentation skills.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul style="margin-bottom:4px;"><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6).</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Knowledge of containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Experience with cloud-based testing environments such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Exposure to behavior-driven development frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).</li><li style="margin-bottom:4px;margin-left:8px;">Familiarity with security testing fundamentals (OWASP, basic penetration testing).</li></ul>How to Apply Would you like to know more about this opportunity?
