Ramp Agent

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ramp Agent to join our team. This role involves supporting airport operations by handling aircraft ground services, managing logistics, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the tarmac. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of aviation safety regulations. Multilingual skills, especially in Haitian Creole and English, are highly valued to facilitate effective communication with diverse teams and clients.

Duties

  • Assist with aircraft marshaling, parking, and towing operations in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Handle materials and baggage loading/unloading using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and other warehouse tools
  • Conduct safety inspections of ground support equipment and aircraft surroundings
  • Manage logistics related to aircraft servicing, including fueling, cleaning, and catering coordination
  • Supervise and coordinate team activities, providing leadership to ensure timely turnaround of aircraft
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all ground handling activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation
  • Communicate effectively with pilots, ground crew, management, and other airport personnel to facilitate smooth operations

Skills

  • Multilingual proficiency in Haitian Creole and English for effective communication across diverse teams
  • Management and supervising experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Mechanical knowledge related to ground support equipment and aircraft systems
  • Experience operating forklifts and commercial driving vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure
  • Customer service skills to interact professionally with airline personnel and passengers when needed
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations pertinent to ground handling operations
  • Logistics expertise for coordinating materials handling and aircraft servicing tasks
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and inventory management
  • Leadership qualities with proven ability to supervise teams and manage tasks efficiently
  • Warehouse experience preferred for handling cargo and materials safely

Pay: $23.31 - $28.07 per hour
