Receptionist / Service Administrator

Location: Bristol
Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary: £26,854.52 FTE (12,888.72 pro-rata)
Are you an organised, motivated and professional administrator who enjoys helping others and keeping operations running smoothly? Practice Plus Group is looking for a Receptionist / Service Administrator to support our 111 service in Bristol.
In this varied and vital role, you’ll be part of a friendly team ensuring all local and national administrative functions are delivered to a high standard, contributing directly to excellent patient care.
What you'll be doing
Reception & Front-of-House Duties
- Greeting visitors professionally and ensuring site security
- Managing calls, taking accurate details and handling sensitive situations
- Liaising with landlords and external service providers
- Handling incoming/outgoing post, stationery orders and equipment needs
- Supporting budget monitoring (purchase orders, ad‑hoc invoices)
Administrative Support
- Managing Network Pem’s: investigating, reporting and assisting with national network queries
- Processing “Not Our Patients” returns and resending records accurately
- Correcting duplicate patient records (Patient Merge Queue)
- Producing accurate reports to deadlines and supporting managers with ad-hoc requests
- Monitoring and updating the Frequent Callers database
Additional Responsibilities
- Attending meetings and taking clear, accurate minutes
- Travelling to other Practice Plus Group sites when required
- Supporting the wider admin team with day-to-day functions
What we’ll look for in you
You’ll be great in this role if you have:
- GCSE-level education or equivalent
- Administration and/or reception experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong organisation, accuracy and time‑management skills
- A proactive, flexible, and performance‑driven mindset
- Excellent communication and a commitment to honesty and integrity
