[Remote] HR Technology Programs & Digital Transformation Leader (Contract)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Akamai Technologies is seeking a senior-level HR Technology leader with strong HR domain expertise to drive complex, global programs at the intersection of HR, technology, and digital transformation. This role will serve as a strategic program leader and trusted advisor, partnering closely with HR, IT, and executive stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions across the HR technology ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-scale HR technology programs ensuring alignment to business priorities, risk mitigation, and value realization
- Act as a senior program leader for HR digital transformation initiatives, including roadmap development, sequencing, dependency management, and executive communications
- Partner closely with HR, IT and external vendors to coordinate delivery across complex, interdependent workstreams
- Provide strategic oversight of Oracle Cloud HCM initiatives, with specific focus on Time & Labor and Absence Management (experience preferred)
- Proactively surface risks, issues, and trade-offs, offering clear recommendations and solution paths
- Translate business and HR needs into clear program plans, milestones, and success measures
- Operate as a connector and integrator, ensuring consistency, governance, and alignment across regions and functions
- Bring a continuous-improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance delivery models, governance, and ways of working
- Support future team growth and capability building as the function evolves
Skills
- Proven experience in senior-level program or portfolio management, ideally within HR Technology, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Systems
- Solid working knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM
- Demonstrated success operating in a global, matrixed environment, influencing outcomes without formal authority
- Exceptional ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change
- Solid executive presence with the confidence to challenge, influence, and advise senior leaders
- Highly analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to quickly assess issues and drive pragmatic outcomes
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights
- Comfortable moving between strategic thinking and detailed execution
- Prior experience supporting large-scale HR transformations or cloud migrations
- Background working with external implementation partners or system integrators
- Familiarity with HR operating models, shared services, or global governance structures
