[Remote] Intern, Health Literacy & Plain Language Center of Excellence
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Biogen is a mid-sized biotechnology company committed to excellence and innovation. They are seeking an intern for their Health Literacy & Plain Language Center of Excellence to support initiatives aimed at making the organization more health literate and to gain practical experience in translating complex scientific information into accessible messaging.
Responsibilities
- Assist in mapping and analyzing current function-specific processes as they relate to the creation of patient-facing content
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and ensure alignment on any new initiatives
- Participate in planning meetings and strengthen project management skills
- Document learnings and propose recommendations for process improvements
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Driven and motivated to learn and contribute to the team in a fun, collaborative environment
- Someone who is a self-starter and can progress deliverables independently
- Good attention to detail, ability to analyze complex data sets and present crisp and concise updates
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship
- Preferred majors/programs: Biotechnology, Clinical Trials, Health Sciences, Health Literacy, Health Communications, other STEM-related programs
