OVERVIEW:
Within our team, the Lead plays a key role in upholding brand standards and shaping the teammate experience. Operating under the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager’s guidance, the Lead stands as the in-store authority on their business/department. The uniqueness of the Lead role is attained through exceptional customer service provision, directing teammates, and leading by example. They also demonstrate characteristics such as empathy, tenacity, positivity, and teamwork.
Here’s an overview of the Lead’s responsibilities:
- Participating in the selection of a robust team, conducting in-store interviews, and intradepartmental tours.
- Fostering a people-first culture as well as trust and respect by connecting with every teammate in the store, contributing to the store’s strong recognition culture.
- Crafting and executing strategy for the next 30 days with the Assistant Store Manager's guidance, inclusive of effective approaches and necessary workforce deployment for day-to-day tasks, game plans, projects, or store events.
- Strategically utilizing teammates to meet brand standards, implement programs and processes on a daily basis, and assigning tasks based on priority levels.
- Upholding corporate merchandising and presentation standards, including adherence to floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory display, and replenishment measures, etc.
- Assisting the store's leadership team with supervision in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Training teammates on company procedures and programs, engaging in the onboarding process for new teammates, and facilitating the cross-training of current teammates.
- Prioritizes personal and team development, providing hands-on coaching and explaining the rationale behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., Protection Plans, Scorecards, Loss Prevention, etc.)
- Leading to reinforce the organization and store's vision by clarifying teammates' roles in relation to the shared mission, organizational objectives, and the provision of an exceptional shopping experience.
- Fostering an inclusive store environment where all individuals (teammates & customers) feel welcomed, secure, and respected.
- Adhering to established safety policies and procedures, loss prevention, and operating procedures, and ensuring the confidentiality of all company information.
- Embracing a teamwork approach and extending support to teammates across the store.
- Carrying out additional tasks as delegated by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for individuals with the following attributes:
- Flexible availability - including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in retail sales (or customer-focused roles) is beneficial.
- The ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. repeatedly (up to 25 times per hour).
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
- Capable of working at heights exceeding 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Able to perform repetitive motions for short durations (up to 2 hours continuously).
