Terraverde Trading Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Route Salesman to join our growing Asian food and beverages distribution business based in Luton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supplying products to retail shops, supermarkets, and other businesses, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities within the local market.
Minimum 2 years of experience in route sales, van sales, or field sales is required.
We are growing rapidly and are now recruiting a Business Route Salesman to lead and expand our Luton customer base.
The role
We are looking for an experienced Route Salesman to join our Asian food & beverages distribution business based in Luton.
You will manage a designated sales route, delivering and selling products to retail shops and supermarkets while building strong customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
This is a field-based role combining driving, sales, and customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a UK B2B sales strategy for Terraverde' s soft-drinks, Asian Foods and malt-drink range.
- Identify, prospect and win new business with Retailers, Wholesalers, cash & carries, convenience groups, symbol groups, delivered wholesalers and HORECA Channels.
- Manage and grow existing key accounts: regular business reviews, joint business plans, and volume & margin targets.
- Negotiate pricing, trading terms, promotional plans, listing fees, rebates and contracts in line with company margin objectives.
- Deliver and sell Asian food & beverage products to existing customers
- Develop new business within assigned routes
- Maintain strong relationships with retailers and shop owners
- Manage route planning and daily sales targets
- Handle cash and invoice transactions
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely restocking
- Provide feedback on market trends and competitor activity
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years of route sales / field sales experience
- Knowledge of the local Luton and surrounding areas market
- Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and target-driven
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills
- Full UK (or equivalent) driving licence and willingness to travel to customers.
Working hours & benefits
- Hours: 37.5 per week (typically Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00, with flexibility around customer meetings and trade events).
- Performance-related bonus scheme (not guaranteed and not relied upon for immigration salary thresholds).
