Secondary Support Worker for female on weekends (3-8 hours pw) - P/T @ £15-£20/hr in Leeds - Leeds - LS27 <div><strong>Secondary Support Worker</strong></div><div> </div><div><strong>Job Description</strong></div><div>We are looking for a secondary support worker to work with a female adult in Leeds who is high functioning but has complex needs (this includes mental illness, complex post-traumatic stress disorder). The secondary support worker would be part of her current team (which includes her psychologist who she sees weekly and her main support worker who she sees during the week.)<br><br>The secondary support worker would work mainly on weekends (between 3 and 8 hours a week) supporting the client with activities that take place outside of her home. In the beginning these would include long walks, attending dog training sessions, going for coffees and setting and accomplishing set weekly goals. Through building her confidence, this should progress over time to attending busier public places, going to the cinema etc. The secondary support worker will be responsibility for planning weekend activities to suit the clients needs.<br><br><strong>Essential criteria:</strong><br>- Must be able to drive<br>- Must like and be able to interact with dogs as the client will be bringing her dog with her on the weekly walks (interested in supporting the client with dog training)<br>- Flexibility needed on occasions to cover her main support workers shifts when they are on annual leave.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Essential Experience</strong></div><div>- Minimum of 12 months experience of supporting people with mental health and complex needs</div><div>- Compassionate, patient and caring</div><div>- An up-to-date enhanced DBS<br><br><strong>Contract info</strong></div><div>- Type of contract: Freelance </div><div>- Length: 6-12 months (with a view to extend)</div><div>- Hours: Between 3 and 8 hours (mainly on weekends but some flexibility needed to cover weekdays as and when)</div><div>- Pay: Between £15 and £20 per hour dependent on experience</div><div>- Paid: Upon receipt of invoice on a monthly basis</div><div> </div><div><strong>How to apply</strong></div><div>Please send your CV and cover letter to <a href="mailto:% support@ukcil.com ">  support@ukcil.com </a>highlighting your experience supporting people with complex mental health needs by Saturday 23rd September 2023.</div>
