<strong>Job Title</strong>: Secretary<br><strong>Location:</strong> Jos, Plateau State <br><strong>Company</strong>: TOC Charlton Mines <br><strong>Work Hours:</strong> Monday - Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. <br><br><strong>Job Summary:</strong> TOC Charlton Mines is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of transactions, supporting the payment process to customers, and providing general administrative support. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. <br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br></strong>• Keep accurate daily records of mineral transactions and customer data.<br>• Assist in verifying and processing payments to customers after analysis or delivery<br>• Communicate effectively with customers and staff in Hausa and English <br>• Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries and visitors <br>• Type documents, receipts, and reports quickly and accurately <br>• Manage files and maintain organized physical and digital records <br>• Use Microsoft Excel to log, calculate, and track payments or stock reports <br>• Use Microsoft Word for formal communications and reporting <br>• Coordinate with warehouse and field staff for seamless operations<br>• Ensure confidentiality of company and customer information <br>• Handle basic administrative duties as assigned by management. <br><br><strong>Required Skills and Qualifications:<br><br></strong>• Fluent in Hausa and English (spoken) <br>• Excellent typing skills (speed and accuracy) • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong interpersonal and customer service skills <br>• Ability to multitask and work under pressure Minimum of OND (Ordinary National Diploma) or equivalent qualification Prior experience in a similar role (preferred but not mandatory)<br>Other Important Information:<br>• Punctuality and reliability are essential <br>• Candidates must be trustworthy and demonstrate integrity when handling money and customer records <br>• Must be willing to learn and adapt to company processes Knowledge of mining or commodity based businesses is a plus <br>• <strong>Location & Personal Commitment</strong> <strong>Preference</strong>:<br>For ease of commute and optimal focus, preference will be given to candidates residing within <strong>Jos North</strong>.
