Senior UAV / Drone Systems Engineer (FREELANCE)

<p><span>We are looking for a <strong>Senior UAV System Engineer </strong>with strong hands-on experience in<strong> flight control systems, integration, and tuning of industrial UAV platforms,</strong> to support the development and optimization of a drone system for wind turbine inspection and repair. </span></p><p></p><p><span>We are currently looking for freelancers to join our talent pool for upcoming projects. We’ll be reaching out when new opportunities matching your skills become available.</span></p><p></p><h3>REQUIREMENTS</h3><ul><li><p><span>Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong>Proven hands-on experience with ArduPilot</strong></span></p></li><li><p><span><strong>Strong experience with UAV systems</strong> (medium to large platforms)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Practical experience with dual GPS configurations</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience implementing RTK systems</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong PID tuning experience on UAV platforms</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with real-world flight testing and system integration U</span></p></li><li><p><span>Understanding of MAVLink communication</span></p></li><li><p><span><strong>English at least B2</strong></span></p></li></ul><p></p><h3>Nice to have</h3><ul><li><p><span>Experience with ROS2</span></p></li><li><p><span>Programming experience in C++ and/or Python</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience working with companion computers (e.g., Jetson, Raspberry Pi)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with LTE/telemetry systems in UAVs Tech Stack Flight Control & Communication</span></p></li></ul><p></p><h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3><ul><li><p>I<span>ntegrate sensors and subsystems (GPS, RTK, cameras, rangefinders, etc.) into UAV platforms</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform flight tuning and stabilization, including PID tuning Conduct on-site flight testing and validation</span></p></li><li><p><span>Troubleshoot system-level issues and optimize UAV performance</span></p></li><li><p><span>Configure and manage flight control systems (ArduPilot-based)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support system integration across hardware and software components</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to R&D activities depending on experience and project needs</span></p></li></ul>
