Sr Store Inventory Control Specialist-Moore, OK

About the position

Under general supervision, the Senior Store Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for traveling to stores within an assigned area and directing periodic inventory, financial, and fuel audits at assigned store locations to assist with profit and loss determination. The Senior Inventory Control Specialist will provide mentorship to less experienced Inventory team members. Perform routine inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records following established inventory control procedures. Ensures inventory data is reviewed/recounted in accordance with department standards and data outside of established ranges is investigated with explanations provided to management. Provides mentorship and training to less experienced Inventory staff. Determines if products are outdated and need to be removed from the shelves. Provides recommendations or suggestions for process improvements to Inventory Trainer, Team Lead or Inventory Supervisor. Provides education to Store Managers on the store inventory process and shrink/waste reduction opportunities. Responds to all inquiries, escalating to Leadership as needed. Reports areas of concern in regards to store level controls to leadership.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • General bookkeeping and basic inventory concept knowledge.
  • At least two years of inventory related experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Functional reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Solid attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Programs such as Outlook and Excel.

Benefits

  • Starting pay range: \$18.25 - \$24.25, actual pay may vary based on assessment of knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, and qualifications.
