System Engineer - FBI ECS

The program is responsible for supporting the administration, operations, maintenance, engineering, and lifecycle of the Agency information technology systems and tools and the smooth operation of services directly through ensuring a reliable, performant, and well managed technical environment, which is constantly evolving to update technology, adapt to customer requirements, and improve application performance. You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining systems and networks that provide the infrastructure platforms for the Agency's capabilities and data. You will be accountable for system administration, identity and authentication, data storage and backup, physical infrastructure maintenance, and automation development, and support information system security accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Support physical infrastructure maintenance to ensure reliability and security of hardware assets including developing automation solutions to streamline operational processes
- Support monthly vulnerability scans, implement patches, ensure controls are reviewed, adhered to, and modified as needed
- Support Government personnel to obtain and/or maintain system Authority to Operate (ATO) status requiring compliance with the requirements set by the OCIO
- Manage all activities and documentation in Risk Vision, Xacta, and/or a similar system prescribed by the OCIO
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required
- VMWare vSphere 7 experience (preferred)
- Cisco Networking (preferred)
- Dell Server, and SAN Storage hardware experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with system accreditation and authorization
- Understanding of NIST 800 series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance (preferred)
- Experience evaluating, documenting, and managing NIST 800-53 control implementations (preferred)
- Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta and JCAM) (preferred)
- Software Experience: Microsoft Windows, Active Directory (preferred)
- Minimum Education: Bachelors in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field and minimum of 5 years' experience. Substitutions Allowed: No Degree- 8 years of related experience.
- Security Clearance Level: Top Secret (TS) level with the ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) and pass CI Polygraph
