Teacher's Aide - Damariscotta, Maine
A school-based opportunity is available in Damariscotta, ME for an Educational Technician (II or III) supporting K-5 students. This contract role offers 32 hours per week and focuses on delivering life skills-based curriculum and personalized support within the classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers by providing instructional support to students following a life skills-based curriculum
- Work closely with K-5 students to enhance learning outcomes and address individual educational needs
- Utilize specialized strategies to help students develop academic, social, and functional skills
- Support classroom management and foster a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education Technician certification (Level II or III) required
- Experience supporting elementary students, preferably with life skills or special education curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with school staff
- Ability to work onsite and maintain a professional, student-centered approach
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based onsite in Damariscotta, ME
