We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Scanner to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing guest interactions, ensuring smooth event operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, experience in hospitality or event management, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Prior experience with guest services, conflict management, or food service is a plus. This position offers an engaging work environment within a resort or entertainment setting, where professionalism and attentiveness are essential.
Duties
- Scan tickets or passes for guests attending events, ensuring accurate entry verification
- Assist guests with directions, information, and resolving any concerns promptly
- Manage guest flow and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately when applicable
- Support event staff with guest management and logistical coordination
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scanning area
- Enforce safety protocols and assist in emergency situations if needed
- Engage with guests using public speaking skills to communicate event information effectively
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in events management, hospitality, or customer service preferred
- Strong conflict management and guest services skills
- Experience with children, food service, or theater environments is advantageous
- Lifeguard experience or background in resort settings is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking abilities
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Friendly demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours as required
