Responsibilities:
Deal Origination & Business Development

  • Identify, assess, and pursue potential M&A opportunities across Singapore and the region.
  • Develop and maintain networks with corporate clients, investors, intermediaries, and industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare and pitch proposals and marketing materials to support new business acquisition.


Industry & Financial Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth industry and market research to assess sector dynamics, competitive landscape, and investment themes.
  • Perform financial modelling, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and scenario evaluations.
  • Prepare clear, data-driven insights and recommendation papers for senior management and clients.


Transaction Execution

  • Lead and coordinate the full execution of M&A transactions, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and closing activities.
  • Prepare key transaction deliverables, including Information Memoranda, management presentations, teasers, valuation reports, and internal approval materials.
  • Manage and oversee due diligence processes, ensuring smooth coordination among clients, auditors, legal counsel, and other advisors.
  • Monitor timelines, manage transaction workstreams, and ensure deliverables meet professional and regulatory standards.


Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact point for clients, providing strategic guidance, project updates, and issue resolution.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients to understand their objectives, challenges, and long-term strategic goals.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external advisors to ensure seamless project delivery.


Internal Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and guide junior team members on analytical work, deal processes, and professional standards.
  • Contribute to knowledge development, best practices, and internal process improvements within the M&A team.
  • Support management in developing the M&A practice, including thought leadership, marketing efforts, and capability enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CA, CPA) would be an advantage but not mandatory.
  • With 3–5 years of hands-on experience executing M&A transactions in Singapore and/or the region.
  • Strong exposure to financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
  • Experience managing multi-party deal processes is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent project management capability with ability to prioritise and meet tight timelines.
  • Proactive, self-driven, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Business development mindset and confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
